The PS188 is a highly integrated USB Type-C® solution that combines a DisplayPort™ 1.4a to HDMI™ 2.0 converter, a USB 3.2 hub, and dual USB Power Delivery 3.0 controllers in a single chip. The PS188 supports a USB-C upstream port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode), and downstream support includes one HDMI 2.0 output, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and one USB 2.0 dedicated port.
The full-featured PD 3.0 dual controllers and an integrated MCU can provide the required customization and firmware update maintenance under hardware security mechanisms. The PS188 is a single-chip solution for multiple application markets and USB Type-C applications, including dongles, docking stations, and other innovative products.
