More bandwidth for large project files
High-bitrate video, RAW photo libraries and project folders containing hundreds of assets all put demands on storage. The TX001M1's Thunderbolt 5 connection gives external NVMe storage more bandwidth to work with, making it a candidate for workflows built around large file transfers.
The 80Gbps figure describes connection bandwidth, not file-copy speed. Taking advantage of it requires a Thunderbolt 5 host, a suitable cable and source and destination drives that can keep up. SSD configuration, file types, workload and temperature affect actual read and write performance.
Pre-installed storage, with 2TB and 4TB options
The TX001M1 arrives with its NVMe SSD installed, so customers do not have to source a drive and assemble it separately. The standard TX001M1-2TB and TX001M1-4TB SKUs give brands and distributors defined capacity options for their catalogs, quotations and stock planning.
Size the drive around a complete project. Original media is only part of the space required: proxies, cache files and exports need room too. The 2TB and 4TB versions serve different project sizes. One cable between the drive and your next workstation
Moving from the office to a shoot and then to a client meeting means packing and reconnecting equipment along the way. The TX001M1 draws power through its Thunderbolt connection, so the drive does not add a separate power adapter to your bag.

USB-C describes the connector shape; a port that supports only ordinary USB is outside this product's intended compatibility.
