What are the requirements for computer configuration of video capture card?
The current video capture card performs video capture and compression simultaneously. The video stream is compressed into MPG format files when it enters the computer. This process requires the computer to have a high-speed CPU, large enough memory, high-speed hard disk, and smooth system bus.
The computing power of the CPU of a general computer is sufficient to meet our requirements. It is recommended to choose a control chip with RAID cascading function for the motherboard, because this can greatly speed up the speed of hard disk data storage. However, the current multi-core and ultra-large capacity hard disks are basically sufficient for video acquisition.
The memory needs to have sufficient memory bandwidth and capacity, which affects the capture of images and conversion of data. The hard disk is the key to this configuration. It not only needs a large capacity, but also a fast storage speed. The minimum cache requires 2M, and general hard disks can reach this cache. Of course, the larger the capacity, the better.
The graphics card is not so important in video acquisition. Just choose a general AGP card of more than 32M. It is generally enough to buy an ordinary sound card for home use.
