USB4 is a new generation technical specification of the USB architecture. Realtek demonstrated its RTS5490 HUB controller at Computex Taipei. The RTS5490 supports speeds up to 40 Gbps, has one upstream port and four downstream ports, is compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gbps), and supports The latest USB PD 3.1 power supply standard. Additionally, it natively supports DisplayPort 2.1 video transmission.
