Common Problems and Solutions of Video Capture Cards
I. Unable to boot
Fault phenomenon:
1. The CPU fan of the host is working normally, but there is no self-test sound.
2. The display is not lit.
Solution:
1. Check whether the display cable is connected firmly.
2. Unplug all video capture cards to see if the host can start normally.
3. If the host cannot start, please check whether other hardware of the host is working properly.
4. If the host is working properly, connect the video capture cards to the host one by one to check whether the host can start normally.
5. When it is detected that a certain video capture card is connected, it cannot start normally. Please change the video capture card to another PCI/PCIE slot and test it again.
6. When it is detected that all connections are normal except for a certain video capture card, please unplug all video capture cards and connect this card alone for testing.
7. After testing in steps 5 and 6, if a certain video capture card still cannot work properly, please contact the supplier to replace the video capture card.
8. When a certain number of host computers are connected, the computer cannot be turned on. Please check whether the power supply is sufficient.
II. The computer freezes when entering WINDOWS
Fault phenomenon:
1. Restart when entering WINDOWS.
2. When entering WINDOWS, the screen is blue and the computer freezes.
Solution:
In this case, it can be basically determined that there is a hardware conflict. Please follow the steps below to handle it.
1. Unplug all video capture cards and connect one card to see if it is normal.
2. If it is normal, connect all video capture cards one by one until the video capture card that causes the abnormal phenomenon is found, or the host computer works normally.
3. If the above steps cannot ensure the normal operation of the host computer, please connect all video capture cards and reinstall the operating system.
III. The video capture card cannot be detected
Fault phenomenon:
After entering the WIDOWS operating system, the installation interface of the video capture card driver does not appear.
Solution:
1. Enter the "Device Manager" and check whether the driver is installed in the "Sound, Video and Game Controllers". Is there a ** "?" or "!"?
2. If the situation is the same as step 1, install the driver of the corresponding video capture card.
3. If the situation is not the same as step 1, please shut down the computer, unplug the video capture card, and use an eraser to wipe all the pins to remove the oxide layer. Replace a PCI/PCIE slot and plug it in, turn on the computer and repeat step 1.
4. Replace another computer and perform step 1.
5. Check whether the power supply is sufficient.
6. Contact the supplier to replace the video capture card.
IV. The video capture card can be detected, but the driver cannot be installed
Fault phenomenon:
1. The installation step has been entered, but the driver cannot be installed. Enter the "Device Manager" and check that the video capture card has been installed with other drivers, or the card is lost.
2. When installing the driver, the host will automatically restart.
3. When installing the driver, it prompts that no suitable driver can be found.
Solution:
1. Shut down and unplug the video capture card. Check and clean the pins of the video card with an eraser.
2. Replace a PCI/PCIE slot, plug in the video capture card, and restart the host. Try to install the driver correctly.
3. Replace another computer and install the driver.
4. Reinstall the operating system and try to install the driver again.
5. Contact the supplier for more help or replace the video capture card.
