How to set up a PC capture card
1. First, connect your capture card to your computer. Depending on the type of capture card you have, this will involve connecting it directly to your computer with an HDMI or USB cable, or plugging it into a PCIe slot (for internal capture cards).
2. Download the software that comes with your capture card. This can usually be found on the manufacturer's website or as an installation tip. Install the software, making sure all necessary drivers are up to date.
3. Configure your settings. This will depend on the type of capture card you have, so be sure to read the instructions that come with it. Generally speaking, you need to select your video source, resolution, and other recording settings.
4. Connect the HDMI output of the computer you use for gaming or content creation to the capture card. Next, connect the HDMI output to the computer you want to stream.
5. Use a USB cable to connect your capture card to the computer you want to transfer.
6. Test your settings. You can do this by recording a clip or test audio. Make sure the quality is good and there are no dropped frames in the video.
