In the test, we chose a 64G capacity solid-state hard disk, put it into the mobile hard disk box first, and then connect it to the computer with the USB3.0 interface. Next, the CrystalDiskMark software was used to test, and the read and write speeds were 512MB/s and 243MB/s, respectively. Next, we used the same method to test the performance of the mobile hard disk, and found that the read and write speeds were 440MB/s and 205MB/s, respectively.
The results show that the performance of the mobile hard disk and the mobile hard disk box are comparable, but in comparison, the reading and writing speed of the mobile hard disk is faster, while the mobile hard disk box is more cost-effective.
4. How to choose a mobile hard disk and a mobile hard disk box
To sum up, mobile hard disks and mobile hard disk enclosures have their own advantages. Therefore, when choosing to buy, you need to choose according to your own needs and actual conditions. If users want a plug-and-play storage device with better performance in terms of read and write speeds, then a portable hard drive is a better choice. However, if users care more about protecting data and hard drives, and pay more attention to price and cost performance, then mobile hard drive enclosures are a better choice.
