How to install the high-definition video capture card?
After users have purchased a high-definition video capture card, how should they install it?
I. Prepare a computer
First of all, we need to know that high-definition capture cards need to be used with computers, so if you want to use the high-definition capture card in your hand, you need to prepare a computer first. High-definition video capture cards are divided into built-in capture cards and external capture cards. They are connected to computers in different ways, so the types of computers required are also different.
Built-in capture card: It is connected to the computer through the PCI or PCI-E slot on the computer motherboard to transmit video signals, so it needs to be inserted into the PCI or PCI-E slot on the computer motherboard to work. Therefore, only desktop computers can use built-in capture cards.
External capture card: It is connected to the USB interface on the computer to transmit video signals through the USB interface, so the computer used only needs to have a USB interface, and for this, any desktop computer and laptop with a USB interface will do.
II. Installation method of built-in HD capture card:
1. Turn off the power and install the capture card
Turn off the computer power, open the chassis, and install the HD capture card in an empty PCI or PCI-E slot. PCI capture cards should be installed in PCI slots, and PCI-E capture cards should be installed in PCI-E slots. Remember to turn off the power before installation.
2. Fix the capture card
Take out the accessories used to fix the capture card from the HD video capture card packaging box, and fix the HD capture card on the chassis. Because if the capture card in the chassis becomes loose during use, it will cause poor signal reception, which will directly affect the final signal acquisition effect.
3. Connect the signal source
Connect the video signal source, such as cameras, camcorders, recorders and other devices to the HD capture card through the corresponding signal cable.
4. Install the driver disk
Put the driver disk of the HD capture card into the optical drive. The manual will indicate which CD is the driver disk. The CD will also have the Chinese word "Driver" displayed on it, or the words "driver" or "install" written in English.
5. Select the corresponding driver
Select the relevant model of HD video capture card driver. The CD that comes with the product also has pages, which generally contain drivers for a series of products of the company, so you should choose the HD capture card driver of the same model.
6. Install the driver
Select "Install Driver", "Install SDK Development Kit", and "Install Application Client Server" in sequence. Start the computer system to display the new hardware found. Insert the capture card driver CD in the optical drive, select "Automatically install the driver", select "Select a location", and change the drive letter of the driver folder CD-ROM to the corresponding operating system.
7. Restart to complete the installation
Restart the computer, complete the installation of the capture card, and the built-in HD capture card can start working.
III. Installation method of external HD capture card:
The installation method of external HD capture card is much simpler than that of built-in capture card, because the external card can be directly connected to the computer through the USB interface, and there is no need to install the driver, plug and play. So you only need to connect the USB interface of the external HD capture card to the USB interface of the computer, and the computer will automatically recognize the capture card. The external capture card can start working and collect video signals.
