The difference between screen splitter, video distributor and hard disk recorder
The multi-screen split controller uses image compression and digital processing methods to compress several images in the same proportion on the screen of a monitor. Some also have the function of a built-in sequential switcher, which can output the full-screen images input by each camera in sequence and intervals on the monitor in turn (just like switching the host to switch the screen in turn), and can be recorded by a recorder in the above sequence and time interval. The interval time is generally adjustable. It has functions such as sequential switching, picture-in-picture, multi-screen output display playback, interconnected camera alarm display, touch-to-pause screen, alarm record playback, time, date, and title display.
The video distributor VDA (Video Distruibuting Amplifier) is the most commonly used component in the distribution network of the cable TV transmission system, and is used to distribute signals. Its function is to divide one input signal equally into several outputs, usually two distributions, three distributions, four distributions, six distributions, eight distributions, sixteen distributions, twenty-four distributions, etc.
For example: there are 4 cameras and 3 monitors, and you want to see 4 pictures on each monitor. Then the video signals of the four cameras must be connected to the four input interfaces of the four-screen splitter respectively, and then output by one output interface of the four-screen splitter (generally, the splitter has only one output interface, which is easier to understand) (the output video signal is already the four video signals compounded in the splitter); the video signal output by the four-screen splitter is then connected to the input interface of the 1-to-3 video distributor, and 3 video signals are distributed through the 1-to-3 video distributor, which can be connected to 3 monitors for display (and the same signals of the four cameras are displayed on each monitor).
The hard disk recorder has the screen splitting function of the screen splitter, which can split and display each image screen, and can be said to include the screen splitter. However, the hard disk recorder also has the function of saving images to the hard disk, and some network monitoring functions, which the screen splitter does not have.
