Low-power single-chip USB Type-C audio and video format converter solution
At the Taipei Computex in early June, four low-power single-chip USB Type-C audio and video format converter solutions were released, CH7211, CH7212, CH7213 and CH7215. These four single-chip solutions comply with the latest Type-C standard of the USB-IF Association, support DisplayPort Alternate Mode of USB Type-C, and are suitable for various USB Type-C audio and video interface conversion devices and peripheral base audio and video conversion docks. It is carefully designed to support various portable terminal devices with USB Type-C interface and seamless audio and video connections with various display screens, external display devices, digital TVs and embedded displays.
CH7211, CH7212, CH7213 and CH7215 all integrate USB Type-C Power Delivery 2.0 protocol controller, dual-channel Command Channel communication encoding circuit module and USB Billboard class. CH7211 also integrates HDMI 2.0 Tx and HDCP 1.4/2.2 modules. The single chip supports all functions of USB Type-C DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0. CH7212 integrates three-channel 240MHz DAC and IIS/SPDIF audio output channels, and a single chip supports all functions of USB Type-C DisplayPort to VGA. CH7213 integrates an AUX channel adjustment module and supports all functions of USB Type-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode output. CH7215 integrates SDTV/HDTV encoder, three-channel DAC and IIS/SPDIF audio output channel. The single chip supports all functions of USB Type-C DisplayPort to CVBS/S-Video/YPbPr and other analog display interface conversion functions.
The four USB Type-C audio and video conversion single-chip solutions launched this time all simultaneously integrate voltage and current detection ADC modules. While supporting audio and video output, they also support USB Type-C charging/reverse charging functions and charging during charging. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection control function. In order to support functions such as interface hot-swapping detection/display EDID analysis during audio and video conversion, monitoring and control during charging/reverse charging, and dynamic adjustment of related modules within the chip, CH7211/2/3/5 integrates mature The microprocessing unit runs the firmware program to ensure that the relevant functions are implemented stably and reliably.
