How to connect SDI interface to HDMI interface

Under some special needs, the SDI interface needs to be connected to the HDMI device to display the video, but because the signals are different, they are not compatible. How to connect SDI to HDMI interface?
The SDI to HDMI full interface converter can convert SD, HD, 3G-SDI signals into different signals such as HDMI/DVI/VGA/CVBS, while bypassing the SDI output and not occupying the original SDI interface. In other words, this converter can expand the SDI signal into multiple different video interface signals, which is convenient for connecting different display devices. Capture cards, etc.; the input SDI signal can be connected to SDI devices such as cameras or cameras, and the output interface can be connected to TVs, monitors, projectors or recorders, capture cards, etc. with different interfaces.
To connect a device with an SDI interface to a display device with an HDMI interface, you need to use an SDI to HDMI converter. Here are the connection steps:
  1. Prepare the converter: Make sure you have an SDI to HDMI converter, which is usually a small box or adapter with an SDI input interface on one end and an HDMI output interface on the other end.
  2. Connect SDI signal source: Use SDI cable to connect the SDI output interface of your signal source (such as camera or professional video equipment) to the SDI input interface of the converter.
  3. Connect HDMI display device: Use HDMI cable to connect the HDMI output interface of the converter to the HDMI input interface of your display device (such as monitor, TV or projector).
  4. Power supply: Some SDI to HDMI converters may require external power supply, so make sure to connect the converter to the appropriate power adapter (usually DC 12V/1A).
  5. Turn on the device: Turn on your signal source device and display device, and make sure they are set to the correct input mode (SDI source device outputs SDI signal, HDMI display device selects the corresponding HDMI input channel).
  6. Check signal: If everything is connected correctly, you should be able to see the video signal from the SDI signal source on the HDMI display device.
Please note that different converters may have different features and additional functions, for example, some converters may also support audio transmission, or have additional control options. Before use, it is best to refer to the specific converter user manual to ensure correct operation.
