Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 Docks: Multi-monitor Connectivity Solutions
Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 docks offer flexible multi-monitor docking solutions for the latest Windows laptops and macOS devices. Designed for high-performance users, these docks are able to connect up to four displays (Windows) or two displays (macOS) on Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 high-performance laptops.
For content creators (such as video production, CAD, design, etc.) and users such as investment bankers/traders, these docks bring a lot of convenience. They provide simple driver-free setup, up to 98W of power delivery, and a range of USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. In addition, for faster connection to powerful networks, these docks also support 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, even over existing CAT5e cables.
In terms of display, these docks support 4K resolution at up to 60Hz on four screens for laptops equipped with Intel 12th Generation processors (or newer) and supporting DP 1.4 with DSC. For older Intel models or devices without DSC, users can still benefit from multiple display options, although they may face lower resolutions or refresh rates. In addition, depending on the model, these docks also support single or dual-monitor configurations for Apple M-series laptops.
Also, there is a USB-C KVM docking station that combines a laptop docking station and a KVM switch into one convenient device. This device allows users to connect two host laptops to the same set of peripherals (including dual monitors, up to 4K 60Hz), charge both systems at the same time, and switch between them with the press of a button or using a hotkey combination. All this can be achieved by connecting a single USB-C cable to each host laptop.
The docking station uses DisplayLink technology to provide plug-and-play functionality on Windows, ChromeOS, and macOS platforms, allowing users to seamlessly use and switch computers with different operating systems. Even on Apple's basic-level M2/M1 systems, extended dual external displays can be enabled. In addition, the docking station is also DisplayLink certified, ensuring compatibility and reliability.
In short, whether it is Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 docks or USB-C KVM docking stations, they provide flexible and convenient multi-monitor connection solutions for high-performance users.
