Gigabit Ethernet Port Docking Station Solution
The docking station has many functions, such as network card, HDMI, USB, PD, card reader, audio, etc. RTL8153 is a USB network card launched by Realtek Taiwan for Ultrabook, tablet computer, industrial computer and motherboard market. It has a 10/100/1000M Ethernet controller combined with IEEE 802.3u media access control (MAC), USB 3.0 bus controller, and embedded memory.
With advanced DSP technology and complex signal technology, RTL8153 provides high-speed transmission of Cat 5 UTP cable or Cat 3 UTP cable (only 10 mbps) and other functions such as cross detection and automatic proofreading, polarity correction, adaptive equalization, crosstalk cancellation, echo elimination, timing recovery, and error correction to provide strong transmission and reception capabilities.
USB 3.0 RTL8153 features provide higher bandwidth and improved protocol for data exchange between host and device. USB 3.0 also provides more advanced power management features, Advanced Configuration Power Management Interface (ACPI) power management for modern operating systems, capable of Operational System-directed Power Management (OSPM) is supported to achieve the most effective power management. In addition to ACPI features, remote wakeup (including AMD Magic Packet and Microsoft Wakeup Frame) supports ACPI and APM (Advanced Power Management) environments.
