Why does the capture card have sound but no video files are captured?
If the capture card can output sound normally but cannot capture video files, it may be caused by the following reasons:
1. Video recording is not started:
First, make sure that the video recording function has been started in the capture software. Some software may require you to explicitly click "Start Recording" or a similar button to start video recording.
2. Video output setting problem:
Check the video output settings in the capture software. Make sure that the correct video source (i.e., capture card) has been selected and the video output format, resolution, frame rate and other parameters are set correctly.
Try to change the video output format or resolution to see if it has any effect.
3. Insufficient disk space:
Check whether your computer has sufficient disk space. If the disk space is insufficient, the video file may not be saved.
Clean up unnecessary files or increase disk space, and then try recording again.
4. Software or driver problem:
Make sure that the capture software and capture card drivers are the latest versions. Outdated software or drivers may cause compatibility issues.
Try to restart the capture software or computer to see if the problem is solved.
5. File save path problem:
Check if the save path of the video file is correct and the folder under the path has write permission.
If possible, try to change the save path to a different disk or folder.
6. Hardware conflict:
Check if there is other hardware in the computer that conflicts with the capture card. For example, if you are using a built-in capture card, other PCI/PCIe devices may interfere with its normal operation.
Try to insert the capture card into a different slot or temporarily remove other unnecessary hardware devices.
7. Video encoding problem:
Some capture software may use specific video encoders by default, which may not be supported by all players or editing software.
Try to change the video encoder settings and select a more universal or compatible encoder.
8. Software log and error report:
Check the log file or error report of the capture software to see if there are detailed information about the video recording failure.
Troubleshoot according to the prompts in the log or error report.
