As desktops and laptops converge to only USB-C ports, the importance of docking stations is becoming increasingly prominent. At the CES 2024 Pepcom Digital Experience media event, Purplelec launched three innovative products in its high-performance docking station series, designed to meet users' growing connection and expansion needs.
First up is the DS019 USB-C 10Gbps Triple Video 20-in-1 Driver-Free Dock, which is compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4 and USB-C laptops and integrates a wide range of port configurations to give users unprecedented connection flexibility. Its plug-and-play design combines four high-power USB-C ports, six USB-A ports, two Thunderbolt ports, HDMI, 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, SD card reader and combo audio jack, with data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps and support for up to 85W of dynamic power delivery, allowing users to charge a variety of connected accessories without relying on the host laptop.
Subsequently, Purplelec will exhibit two USB-C and USB-A dual 4K docking stations, the DS018R and DS018L, which are not only compatible with the latest USB-C and traditional USB-A laptops, but also support dual-monitor configurations of MacBook M1/M2/M3 series notebooks through DisplayLink technology. Each docking station is equipped with one USB-C port, five USB-A ports, supports transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, and supports up to two 4K @ 60Hz UHD external displays through two HDMI 2.0 and two DP++ 1.2 ports. The DS018R is specially equipped with an 85W power splitter that can power USB-C and USB-A laptops simultaneously, and both docking stations include Gigabit Ethernet ports and audio combo jacks to meet the diverse needs of users.
Finally, Purplelec announced the release of the TB052 Thunderbolt 5 docking station, which marks a new-era in docking station technology. TB052 supports throughput speeds of up to 120Gbps, which is three times that of Thunderbolt 4, setting a new benchmark for data transmission. At the same time, it can provide up to 140W of power supply, far exceeding the 100W docking station commonly seen on the market, ensuring that the device has sufficient energy. In addition, TB052 also supports up to two 8K @ 60Hz external monitors, providing a future-ready solution for users who pursue the ultimate high-resolution multi-monitor experience.
In summary, the docking station series launched by Purplelec this time not only demonstrates its leading position in technological innovation, but also brings a more convenient, efficient and powerful connection experience to the majority of users.
