USB4 Device with USB3.2 HUB and DP1.4 chip VL830

VL830 is a VLA chip that complies with the USB4 specification, supports the full 40Gbps bandwidth of USB4, and provides USB3.2 and DisplayPort functions as well as input and output functions.
VL830
VL830 can exert full performance when used with ThunderboltTM4 or USB4 systems, and is backward compatible with the system to support DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB Type C. VL830 has a highly integrated design, built-in USB3.2 SuperSpeed USB10 Gbps Hub, USB2.0 Hub with Multiple Transaction Translator3 supports DisplayPort1.4 output, and supports up to 4 lane HBR3 (32.4Gbit/s). Downward support for USB SuperSpeed (10Gbps), UltraSpeed (5Gbps), High Speed (480Mbps), Full Speed (12Mbps), and Low Speed (1.5Mbps) devices.
When used with supported PDs, the VL830 also features an optional configurable USB device controller, such as the VL10x series, and an optionally configurable USB HID endpoint to support push button functionality. The VL830 comes in a 10x10x1.03mm chip scale package and the two downstream USB ports also integrate 10Gbps muxes to save board area and improve signal integrity for data-only USB Type-C applications.
VL830 requires the use of an external USB PD controller USB Type-C upstream and downstream interfaces. If paired with the VL1OX series USB PD controller, the VL830 can share an SPI flash memory and provide improved integration without consuming additional USB ports. VL830 has a flexible firmware architecture. In addition to online updates, it also provides a customized function framework.
Various parameters including USB configuration, PD configuration, Tx equalization settings, GPIO behavior through firmware. The VL830 also features an optional USB charge controller that can be configured on a per-port basis for charging various devices such as smartphones and tablets.
