What is HDcctv and HD-SDI

HDcctv, High-Definition Closed Circuit Television, uses the HD-SDI link developed by the professional broadcasting and television industry. On this basis, it defines a handshake protocol for digital high-definition video transmission, such as video resolution and frame rate, and is a digital high-definition video surveillance solution based on high-definition broadcasting and television.
HD, the definition of high definition comes from digital high-definition television HDTV, which is a high-definition television standard determined by the American Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers SMPTE, that is, it supports three high-definition television standards: 1080i (1920×1080, interlaced), 720P (1280×720, progressive), and 1080P (1920×1080, progressive); again, it also specifically requires a 16:9 display mode and full frame rate.
video capture cards
HD-SDI, digital component serial interface, digital high-definition signal transmission generally uses DVI, HDMI or HD-SDI transmission, of which the transmission distance of DVI or HDMI is only a few meters, which is not suitable for on-site use in monitoring projects. HD-SDI signals can not only be transmitted about 100 meters, but also can be transmitted using CVBS coaxial cables, so they are usually used for signal transmission connections between field acquisition equipment and control equipment within 100 meters.
In today's high-definition surveillance industry, the HDcctv standard has formed a three-legged situation with the Open Network Video Interface (ONVIF) and the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA).
