How to connect SDI interface to HDMI interface
To connect the SDI interface to the HDMI interface, you need to use an SDI to HDMI converter. Here are the connection steps:
1. Prepare the converter:
• Get an SDI to HDMI converter and make sure it supports your SDI signal type (such as SD-SDI, HD-SDI, or 3G-SDI).
2. Connect the SDI signal source:
• Use a BNC cable (SDI cable) to connect the SDI output port of a device with an SDI interface (such as a camera, switcher, or recorder) to the SDI input port of the converter.
3. Connect the HDMI display device:
• Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI output port of the converter to the HDMI input port of a display device with an HDMI interface (such as a monitor, TV, or projector).
4. Power the converter (if necessary):
• Some SDI to HDMI converters may require an external power supply, power it with a DC 12V/1A power adapter. Plug the power adapter into the power input port of the converter, and plug the power plug of the power adapter into a wall outlet.
5. Turn on the device:
• Turn on the signal source device with SDI interface and the display device with HDMI interface.
6. Select the HDMI input source:
• On the HDMI display device, use the remote control or button to select the correct HDMI input channel to display the signal from the converter.
7. Check the video and audio:
• Observe the picture on the HDMI display device to ensure that the video signal is successfully converted and displayed. At the same time, if the converter supports audio transmission, check whether the audio is playing normally.
During the connection process, if you encounter unstable signals or abnormal display, check whether the cables are firmly connected, whether the converter is fully powered, and whether the input mode of the HDMI display device is set correctly.
