How to Install an HDMI Extender
The HDMI extender is a device used to extend the signal. It is usually used when the long-distance direct connection wire cannot meet the transmission requirements. It is generally designed to ensure long-distance signal transmission without attenuation, so it is mostly active.
There are two types of traditional HDMI extenders. One is to transmit analog signals. The transmission distance is said to be 300 meters in the market, but the farthest can reach 250 meters after actual measurement. The analog signal starts from the first meter transmitted. Attenuation will occur, and the farther the transmission distance is, the stronger the signal attenuation will be. If the transmitted signal is output to a large screen, the output picture will not be visible at all.
Another traditional HDMI extender transmits digital signals, consisting of a sending end and a receiving end. The sending end is responsible for signal acquisition and compression, and the receiving end is responsible for signal decoding and port allocation. The longest transmission distance is 60 meters.
The latest HDMI extender can solve high-definition HDMI long-distance transmission products. It is composed of three parts: encoder, repeater and decoder. The network cable is connected to 1000 meters. The product has long extension distance, clear image, flexible and convenient operation, and supports chain and tree high-definition audio and video transmission.
hdmi extender installation steps
step one
Take the transmitter to one end of the display, power on, press the button of the transmitter with a pointed object, and the LED light of the transmitter will flash at this time, and then plug the transmitter into four places.
step two
Distinguish the sending end and the receiving end, among which the black tail sleeve on the back of the tube shell is the sending end, and the transparent color is the absorbing end.
When the single-cable HDMI extender is turned on, the LED will stop flashing if the signal is read successfully, and it will continue to flash if the signal is not read successfully. After the read is successful, remove the transmitter and power off. This step can be skipped if the display fits the pattern of the commonly used default display.
Step three
Plug the transmitter into the playback end, and the absorber into the display end.
Step 4
Install the network cable jumper. The sequence of the network cable head is manufactured according to the standard of EIA/TIA 568B. There is a certain order requirement for the color of the line. The color sequence is: white orange/orange/white green/blue/white blue/green/white brown/brown. When manufacturing, it is necessary to strictly equal the length, and it is recommended to use jumpers. Note that please do not connect to the LAN network system.
step five
Turn it on and play it to test the playback effect.
Step six
Plug the power supply into the transceiver, and its LED will light up if the transmitter works normally. When the receiving end detects a signal, its LED will also light up.
